Passé & Posse

Passé means no longer current or in fashion; out-of-date: “Making of films in black and white is passé in almost all film making countries.”

Posse on the other hand, means a group of people who were gathered together by a sheriff in the past to help search for a criminal: “The police inspector with a posse of ten constables had put up a barrier to check the papers of vehicles.”
