Difference Between Ordinance and Ordnance Ordinance has the following meanings:-
1. Laws established by a governmental authority: “The President of India issues an ordinance to dissolve the Lok Sabha on the recommendation of the Prime Minister. ”
2. Something that is fore ordained by fate or deities: “In mythology, the death of Ravana by Lord Rama was an ordinance by gods.”

Ordnance, on the other hand, means supplies, guns, tanks, and ammunition that are used for military purposes: “Many marriage palaces near the ordnance depot have been declared unauthorized and an ordinance has been passed to raze them to the ground.”
