Negligent & Negligible

Negligent means careless attention to one’s duties or responsibilities: “His negligent attitude towards studies cost him a lot in his career.”

Negligible, on the other hand, means so small as to be unimportant or of no consequence:”His hypercritical nature and his habit of paying attention to negligible details made him very unpopular among his colleagues at work.”
