Lacks & Lax

Lacks means to be in need of something or to experience a deficiency: “He lacks in common sense and courteous behavior.”
Lax , on the other hand, means not firm, relaxed, or negligent: “The lax attitude of the teacher often becomes the cause of indiscipline in the class.”
