Hyperbole, on the other hand, has the following meanings:-
1. An extravagant overstatement or exaggerated language that distorts facts by making them much bigger than they are if looked at objectively: “His article was rejected because it was full of hyperboles which showed that there was a lot of exaggeration in language. ”
2. A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect as illustrated by these statements of hyperbole:”The glacier appeared to be a ping-pong ball from the aero plane.”
