Historic & Historical

Historic means famous, having great importance in history: “Signing of Shimla Pact by Indira Gandhi and Bhutto was a historic moment in the Indo-Pak border.”
Historical, on the other hand, means relating to, of great importance, or having the characteristics of history: “Historical buildings like the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Jama Masjid etc. built by the Mughal kings are worth visiting.”
