Hiatus & Quietus

Hiatus is a gap or interruption in space, time, or continuity; a break: “Scooters have started appearing in the market after long hiatus.”
Quietus , on the other hand, means a stillness or pause; something that quiets, represses, or results in a removal from an activity: “Production is passing through a period of quietus due to economic recession in America.”
