Faker & Fakir

Faker means having a false or misleading appearance; a fraud: “You are not badly injured, you faker!”
Fakir, on the other hand, refers to a Muslim religious mendicant who is a member of an order of clerics who are forbidden to own property and who work or beg for their living: “The fakir looked pale and as if he had not food for a number of days.”.
