Corporal & Corporeal

Corporal means relating to the human body and is found chiefly in the expression ‘corporal punishment’.

Corporeal means ‘bodily, physical, material as distinct from the spiritual’. For example: apart from his existence as a corporeal omnipotent first cause, all else about God was a matter of fact.
