Casket & Gasket

Casket is a coffin wherein a dead body is placed: “It always hurts to see a loved one in a casket.”

Gasket, on the other hand, is a seal used between matched machine parts or around pipe joints to prevent the escape of gas, fluids, etc.: “The rubber gasket on high pressure pipes is an important safety precaution for any oil and gas company.”
