Difference Between lean and lienLean has the following meanings:-
1. Having little or no fat: “At the party everybody took note of her as she was tall, lean and beautiful.”
2. Bent or deviating from a vertical position: “The thief used the ladder leaning against the outer wall to enter the house.”
3. To be inclined towards an opinion or desire: “I am in the habit to lean towards pineapple ice-cream after food, especially after dinner.”
Lien , on the other hand, means the right to take and hold or sell the property of a debtor as security or payment for a debt or duty: “In ancient times , Zamindars used to claim the land of the peasant as lien in case the latter failed to pay their debt dues in time.”
