Conditions for gun ownership have been changed time and again yet US still refuses to act. There is no doubt that some societies are more steeped in violence than others whatsoever the reasons may be. The author states that the shooting in Newtown was not only specifically horrifying and heartbreaking but also part of an increasingly common pattern of murder-suicide. It is high time now US should limit gun ownership to approved uses only.
