Difference Between Condemnation and CommendationCondemnation is a statement or expression of very strong and definite criticism or disapproval: “Anna Hazare’s statement was a condemnation of the actions of the government.”
Commendation is the act of praising or approving someone or something: “Ram’s hard work deserves commendation.”
It also stands for an official letter that praises someone publicly: “The student was awarded a commendation for academic excellence.”

In his commendation to the citizen for bravery, the mayor also issued acondemnation of the poor construction of the bridge which lead to the accident.
