Complement means ‘something that completes or perfects something else: “Her hat complements her dress.” It also means the usual number or quantity of something that is needed or used: “He had a full complement of workers he needed in his factory.”
Compliment means a remark that says something good about someone or something: “It is always nice to receive compliments for ones works.”
