The CAT-2014 season is beginning to pick up and so in the preparation for most of you, it seems. While this is happening, we are flooded with the same query every day: when are we going to start the CAT-2014 Prep Plan?

The answer to this question is complicated.  Last year, we did or rather we tried to accomplish something very bold: run a free daily CAT course through E-mail. The course was highly successful, and received an awesome response as well as feedback. While running the daily course was a great experience, it was highly taxing for us as well. And since we do not charge anything, and there is no advertising on Wordpandit, and we do not sell anything, it becomes all the more difficult to keep such an initiative running.

So, what does this mean for our CAT-2014 prep course? Will there be no daily-prep course?
The answer to this question is both a yes and no. The course we ran in 2013 is simply not possible, and it is almost beyond us to commit to such a plan. But we are not going to disappoint you. We will be giving out weekly updates, and adding more content to CAT@Wordpandit and Maths@Wordpandit, and thereby providing you everything you need. Remember: the content we uploaded last year is all still available. So you don’t need to worry about the prep resources. The monthly prep plan is simply a better guide to us this website, so even if it not there, there is nothing stopping you from exploring the awesomeness of Wordpandit.

So, effectively how would the Prep-Course for CAT-2014 Run?
Well, we are going to do the following things:

Monthly Guide Page: We are going to upload a ‘monthly guide page’ every page. This would highlight and place the all content that needs to be completed on a monthly basis. This would be a rather long page, and out attempt would be cover topics as exhaustively as possible.

What’s New: We are going to maintain a weekly update section, ‘What’s New’, which is going to outline all the new stuff on the website.

These two sections in conjunction would help you prepare for CAT effectively. This is as simple as it gets. Doesn’t it?

What do you need to do right now?
Right now, you need to do two things on this website:

1. Read this ‘How to start your Prep for CAT-2014’ article

2. Explore the ‘Plan Page’, and make a complete list month-1 and month-2 topics. While making the list, identify the topics you are comfortable with and the ones that cause you gried.

Do these two things to begin with, and your CAT Prep-2014 in on its way.

Can you help us in some way?
There are a number of ways in which you can help us:

1. If you great with numbers, and are 100% sure about your quantitative skills, then you can help us proof-read maths tests and articles on the website, and help us write solutions for new questions.

2. If you great with language skills, then you can helps proof-read Verbal tests and articles on the website, and help us write solutions for new questions.

3. If you believe we are doing an awesome job, you can help us by promoting us on Facebook and Twitter.

4. Last but not the least, if you have some extra cash, and feel that we you want to pitch in, you can help us with the server cost of running this website, which amounts to roughly 4000 a month. I know this sounds cheap but running an ad-free website for three years can make you do strange things.

Leave the money aside, we would be happy with any kind of help you can offer us. Just drop me a mail on: prashant@wordpandit.com

Who am I? I am Prashant, the founder of Wordpandit, an oddball who does a lot of odd things to just to keep things running, and in between runs this website for collaborative learning.
