Bisect & Dissect

Bisect means to cut or to divide into two parts; especially, two equal parts: “The lines on the group served to bisect the property into two sections between the two brothers.”
Dissect means to separate into sections for close scientific analysis or interpretation: “The students in the biology class had the task of dissecting insects as their holiday homework.”
