Difference between Opaque,translucent and Transparent Opaque has the following meanings:-
1. Difficult to understand: “The sermon of the sage was so opaque that I could not comprehend him at all because he had laid countless mythological references.”
2. Not allowing light to pass through: “Wood is an opaque material.”

Translucent means not completely clear or transparent, but clear enough to allow light to pass through: “The frost settled on the window pane in the morning made it translucent.”

Transparent has the following meanings:-
1. Allowing light to pass through: “The windows of the house are usually made of transparent glass in order to let sunshine flow into the rooms .”
2. Easy to notice or to understand; being obvious: “He is a very transparent person with no double standards.”
